Once cars drive themselves, people can just sit back and use their mobile devices for social media, among other things. Building such a feature into the car makes little sense until technology makes it more convenient than a mobile device - cars could sport displays, audio, etc to interact with the internet or a virtual assistant (Siri, IBM watson) in a better format than a phone or tablet.
